Membership Carry-over
We don't want migrating to cost you anything up front, so linking your legacy account gives you room to settle in.
Your 90-day Pro trial
The moment you link your Salon.io account, you get a 90-day Pro trial on the new platform. During the trial you have full Pro features to rebuild and explore. Your old Salon.io account keeps working as normal in the meantime — nothing is switched off.
If you import a site into a free account during the trial, that site picks up the same trial end date, so everything expires together rather than at different times.
After the trial
When the 90 days end, you choose how to continue:
- Pick a plan — subscribe to Basic, Premium, or Pro, or buy Pro Lifetime as a one-time purchase. See pricing.
- Do nothing — your account settles onto a tier based on your old Salon.io membership:
| Your Salon.io membership | Your tier here |
|---|---|
| Business / Power | Pro |
| Premium | Premium |
| Basic | Basic |
| Basic Lifetime | Basic (permanent) |
| Sponsored | Free |
| Free | Free |
You won't lose your imported content when the trial ends — tiers affect limits and features, not whether your work is kept.
Your payment
Your Salon.io subscription does not move automatically — but if you pay by card (Stripe), you can continue your membership on the new platform with one click: after linking your legacy account, open Settings → Plan on your site and choose Continue membership. Your existing subscription then pays for your new site — same plan, same price, no new checkout, and nothing changes on your card.
If you pay by PayPal or invoice, your subscription stays with the old platform. Once you've fully moved, you can cancel it — your tier here (table above) is yours either way, and the old platform runs until March 2027 regardless.
Whatever you do: don't pay twice. If you subscribe to a new plan here, cancel the old subscription — or better, use Continue membership instead of subscribing anew.
