Text & Headings
Text blocks hold your headings, paragraphs, lists, and links. Add one to any section, write inline, and style it from the same panel.
Add a text block
In the editor, open the Add block menu on the toolbar and choose Text. The block drops into the current section, ready to type.
To edit existing copy, click the block to open its panel. The panel has four tabs: Content, Style, Meta, and Behavior.
Write and format
The Content tab is your writing surface. Type directly, and use the formatting toolbar above the text for inline styling:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| H1–H4 | Turn the current line into a heading level |
| P | Reset the line to a paragraph |
| Bold / Italic | Toggle emphasis on the selected text |
| Bullet List / Ordered List | Start a bulleted or numbered list |
| Add Link | Open the link dialog (see below) |
| Eraser | Clear all content in the block |
Headings vs. body
H1 is reserved for your page title for SEO, so it only appears on full text blocks — captions on image, video, and page blocks never offer it. Use H2–H4 for section and sub-section headings, and P for body copy. Headings can carry their own font and weight separately from body text (see Typography).
Adding a link
Click Add Link to open the Create Link dialog. Enter the link text, then pick a type:
- URL — link to any external website
- Page — link to another page on your site
- Anchor — jump to a section on the current or another page
- Email — open the visitor's mail app
Toggle Open in new tab to control whether the link replaces the current tab. When a link is selected, a Remove Link button appears in the toolbar.
Saving your edits
Changes on the Content tab are committed when you click the red Apply Changes button at the bottom of the panel. The button stays disabled until you have edits or a pending font change.
Typography
Open the Style tab to adjust typography for the whole block. You can also reach quick font controls from the card at the bottom of the Content tab.
Font size
Pick a preset size, or reveal a slider for a precise value. Fluid typography scales the size with the viewport for consistent reading on every screen.
Fonts and weight
Choose a font pair (one font for headings, one for body) or set heading and body fonts independently in advanced mode. Each font has its own weight options (Thin through Black, depending on what the font supports). A Reset control returns the block to your site theme's default fonts.
Advanced typography
Expand a font row to fine-tune:
- Line Height — Auto, or a fixed value from 1 to 2
- Letter Spacing — Tight, Normal, Wide, Wider, or Widest
- Text Transform — None, UPPERCASE, lowercase, or Capitalize
Heading and body keep separate advanced settings, so you can space out a heading without touching paragraph text.
Color
On the Style tab, use the color section to set the block's text color and background. Color presets are grouped into pages — Theme, Pastel, Solid, Dark, and Opaque — and the Theme presets pull from your active site theme. You can copy and paste color values, make the background transparent, and adjust background opacity. Link and link-hover colors fall back to your theme's primary and secondary colors unless you override them.
Alignment
The Alignment control offers left, center, right, and justify. It applies to the whole block.
More styling
The Style tab also includes:
- Padding — space inside the block, by preset or slider
- Corners — rounded corners
- Border — None, Solid, Dashed, or Dotted, with color and width
- Shadow — None / S / M / L presets, or a custom shadow with offset, blur, spread, opacity, and color
To copy your styling to other text blocks in the same section, use Apply to Section. Reset to Site Theme Default at the bottom restores the block to your theme's baseline text style.
Presets
Save a styled block as a reusable preset with the Save as new button on the Style tab, then apply it to other blocks from the preset picker. If you update a preset later, you can choose whether to push the change to every block using it.
Hover effects
The Behavior tab lets text react when a visitor hovers: None, Color (swap text and background colors), Lift, or Zoom.
When you finish editing, click Stop Editing in the top bar (or the Preview pencil icon on the floating toolbar). Leaving edit mode clears the cache so your changes go live.
