Getting Started

Welcome to New Salon. The fastest way to learn the basics is to watch the short walkthrough below — then follow the three steps to get your first page live in a few minutes.

1. Create a site

On your dashboard, click + Create New Site. Give it a name — that becomes part of your address (new.salon.io/your-name/your-site).

2. Add your content

Your new site opens in the editor. Use the floating toolbar to:

• Upload Images — drop in photos; they become image blocks you can move and resize.
• Add Text Block — for headings, captions, and paragraphs.
• Add Video Block — paste a YouTube or Vimeo link.

Drag blocks to position them. Each section uses a SalonEngine layout to arrange its blocks — the default is Canvas (free-form drag & drop).

3. Preview

Click Stop Editing to drop out of edit mode and see your site as a visitor will — that's your preview. Leaving edit mode also pushes your latest changes live. Click Edit in the floating corner toolbar to keep working.

4. Publish

Make your site live with Publish. Your site is then reachable at new.salon.io/your-name/your-site, and every time you stop editing your newest changes go out.
