Analytics
The Analytics tab in your site settings shows built-in visitor stats for that site, plus optional fields to connect Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Open it from your site's Settings, then choose Analytics.
Site Statistics
The Site Statistics section gives you page views and visitor metrics straight from New Salon. No setup required, it starts tracking as soon as your site is live.
Filters
Two rows of buttons control what you see:
- Time range — 7d, 30d, or 90d (defaults to 30 days).
- Source — All, Platform, or Custom Domain. Use this to compare traffic on your
salon.ioURL versus your own custom domain.
Metrics
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Page Views | Total pageviews in the selected time range. |
| Unique Visitors | Distinct visitor sessions in the same range. |
Views chart
Below the metric cards, the chart plots Page views (red) and Visitors (blue) day by day across your selected window. Hover any day to see exact counts for that date. Days with no traffic read as zero.
Traffic Sources
When Source is set to All, a Traffic Sources breakdown splits views between your Platform URL and your Custom Domain, so you can see where visitors are landing.
Top Pages
The Top Pages list ranks your most-viewed pages with their view counts, so you can see what's drawing the most attention.
If you haven't had any visitors yet, you'll see No pageviews yet — share your site to start tracking.
What is and isn't counted
- Bots are filtered out. Known crawlers and scrapers (Googlebot, social link previews, uptime monitors, headless browsers, and similar) are excluded, so your numbers reflect real people.
- Only published, live sites are tracked. Views are recorded when visitors load your public site. Editing your own site doesn't add to your stats.
- Both URLs count. Visits to your platform URL and your custom domain are tracked, and you can filter between them.
Google Analytics
To layer on advanced tracking, paste your Google Analytics ID (format G-XXXXXXXXXX) into the Google Analytics section. You'll find this in your Google Analytics property settings under Data Streams. Click Save to apply.
This runs alongside the built-in stats — you don't need it for the dashboard above to work.
Google Search Console
To verify ownership of your site for Google Search insights, paste your verification code into the Site Verification Code field under Google Search Console. Use the content value from the HTML tag method in Search Console, then Save.
